Who does not love going to Disney World?! Oh my gosh! This has got to be the only family vacation we ALL can agree on. Except the little one…he has no idea what is going on, yet.
THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO
After my return from my last deployment, we decided going to Disney World would be a great way to get acclimated with the family, since a lot had changed with our little family.
Per our usual theme, we all wore Disney-themed shirts the first day at the parks. It took a bit of research, but I was able to find the hubby and I matching t-shirts that year, and the boys wore shirts that matched their personalities.
Since I had the gold vibe going on with my hair pieces, I played off that with this layout. Ha! I find the craziest things to get me motivated when scrapbooking, but it worked. As soon as I made that connection, it was easy peasy from that point on.
I used Maggie Holmes Gather collection for the background piece (pattern paper with all the plus signs on it), as well as the text paper used on the left side. I was even able to use up a lot of pieces from the Simple Stories Say Cheese II collection. Other embellishments came from a Studio Calico kit, Wink Wink, I received previously, and Crate Paper (of course, right)
As you can see the layout is fairly simple. A little layering here, and a little layering there. To see how this layout was put together, check out my process video! UPCYLCLE PLANNER INTO MINI ALBUM PART 1
Note: Remember to consider your photo when brainstorming (or “getting my vibe” as I call it) a layout.
